Patch Authority Ultimate is a powerful multi-faceted patch management application. It includes a robust patch detection engine for automating the patching of software on virtual and physical desktop machines and servers, minimizing the amount of time required for IT administrators to secure the network.  Quickly installed, Patch Authority Ultimate is easy to use with an intuitive central console and exceptional reporting capabilities, including

  • More than 20 standard reports for status on scans, patches and deployments
  • Customized reports for compliance officers and executives

Patch Authority Ultimate is developed and supported by ScriptLogic (a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Software).

Comprehensive Patching
You're covered for x86 and x64 versions of Microsoft Windows, Office and Server products (Exchange, IIS, SQL, BizTalk, etc.), as well as products from WinZip, Adobe, Real, Firefox and more!

Automated Patch Management
It's a snap to download, scan and install patches at selected times and frequencies.

Virtual Machine Management
Scan and patch online and offline virtual machines (VMs) as well as VMware templates. An online VM is treated exactly the same as a physical machine. And you can patch offline VMs to ensure that they don't place your network at risk when they are brought online.

Robust Reporting
Report on patch status in real time across the network with myriad pre-defined or customizable reports.

Fast Installation and Easy Deployment
Install it and begin patching your computers within 30 minutes. Enjoy enterprise patching functionality without the enterprise complexity.

Multiple Administrator Support
Console support is available for multiple administrators, so they can easily patch and secure the computers they manage.

Credentials Manager
Securely store all credentials used in patching servers and desktops in a single location with industry standard encryption.

Restrictions:

  • An NTFS file system is required on the console machine
  • If you install the console on a domain controller that uses LDAP certificate authentication, you may need to configure the server to avoid conflict issues between the SSL certificate and the Patch Authority Ultimate program certificate. There is no easy way to configure this on a Windows Server 2003-based domain controller and this combination is not recommended for use as a console.
  • If you install the console on two or more machines that share a database, all of the machines must have unique security identifiers (SIDs) in order to prevent user credential problems. Machines are likely to have the same SIDs if you make a copy of a virtual machine or if you ghost a machine.
